EA Regens seeks playoff in crucial duel with Big Chill

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - EA Regens seeks a crucial victory against Big Chill today to bolster its hopes for a coveted playoff position in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Ynares Arena in Pasig City.

EA Regens coach Allan Trinidad, disappointed with their performance against winless Informatics last week, is keeping his fingers crossed after the one-week break and the acquisition of shooting guard Alex Nuyles would make a difference as they try to win two in a row in the scheduled 4 p.m. duel.

Café France and Cagayan Valley battle each other in the other game at 2 p.m. with both teams also needing a crucial win.

Team Delta was pushed to the limit and needed big games from Ian Sanggalang (27 points) and Raymund Almazan (19 points, 22 rebounds) to subdue the hard-luck Icons, 88-82, Monday last week.

“Marami pa dapat ma-improve. Baka sakali yung pahinga at yung pagdating ni Nuyles magbago ang takbo ng team,” Trinidad said.
