MANILA, Philippines - Global FC looks ahead to a tough battle in the AFC President’s Cup Group B action against rival foreign clubs which will parade a slew of mainstays with experience in international play, led by the favorite, two-time champion Dordoi Bishkek of Kyrgyzstan.
The Dordoi Dynamo, a perennial contender in the tourney for teams from “emerging†Asian football nations, will have 17 stalwarts of the Kyrgyz national side in their roster for the May 8-12 bootfest at the Cebu City Sports Complex, where they loom as a top contender.
Dabid Brunce Tetteh, the Dynamo’s top scorer who had also found the back of the net in all of Kyrgyzstan’s matches in the recent AFC Challenge Cup qualifiers, will lead Dordoi in the tourney to be held in Phl for the first time.
For its part, Pakistan titlist Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) will be bannered by four veterans of their country’s Challenge Cup campaign in defender and captain Samar Ishaq, midfielders Muhammad Adil and Kaleem Ullah, and defender Saddam Hussain.
Only Bhutan, represented here by Yeedzin, does not have a player who has seen action in the 2013 Challenge Cup qualifiers.
