50% off on Sharks-Gilas game

MANILA, Philippines - Organizers of next week’s exhibition matches featuring Gilas Pilipinas and Philippine Basketball Association Selection against the visiting Shanghai Sharks owned by retired Chinese great Yao Ming have decided to slash ticket prices in half to make it more affordable to basketball fans.

“We’re offering a 50 percent discount on all the tickets to the two games,” Philippine Sports Commission chairman Richie Garcia, whose agency is organizing the event dubbed: Philippines-China Friendship Games with the Chinese Embassy, announced yesterday.

Gilas Pilipinas is set to take on the Sharks on May 6 at the Mall of Asia Arena while the PBA Selection gets its turn on May 7 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
