Herrera new AMA sports director

MANILA, Philippines - Five-time Batang PBA champion coach Mark Herrera has been appointed new sports director of AMA University.

Herrera, who is also currently the coach of the Philippine Youth Under-13 team of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP), is a former member of the UE Red Warriors.

“ It’s a great honor for me to be personally selected by Ambassador Amable R. Aguiluz and first vice president Arnel Hibo,” said Herrera. “ I’m so excited to be a part of this organization.”

Herrera announced tryouts in various sports disciplines at the AMA University gym in Quezon City.

The sports are taekwondo, swimming, chess, volleyball, table tennis, athletics and basketball for elementary, high school and college.

Players will be granted scholarships and  allowances.
