UFL youth football up in 5 venues

MANILA, Philippines - The United Football League Youth kicks off with an opening ceremony at 8 a..m. tomorrow at the Emperador Stadium.

The opening was delayed for a week pending the sanctioning by the National Capital Region Football Association.

Over 1,600 participants will comprise the various Youth League teams in the Under-9, Under-11, Under-13, Under-15, Under-17 and Under-19 divisions.

All the divisions will compete in a single round robin format. The finals will be played by June.

The different teams come from the youth systems of UFL clubs Global, Loyola, Kaya, Pachanga, Pasargad, Nomads, Green Archers United, Army, Team Socceroo, Forza, Agila, Union, Dolphins, and Manila All-Japan.

The UFL Youth games will be played at the Emperador Stadium, Ascom, Evia, Nuvali and the University of Makati.

“In the spirit of our two associations common interest in club football, and in our desire to promote the principle of solidarity, cooperation, and unity among all stakeholders of the NCRFA, the NCR Youth Football Clubs Association and the United Football Clubs Association have partnered to establish an effective and stable framework that will ensure a bright future for club football,” said Football Alliance official Ramon Garcia.
