MANILA, Philippines – Three-peat seeking Ateneo Lady Eagles punched themselves a quarterfinal ticket courtesy of a 25-17, 25-16 and 25-17 straight set victory against the Letran Lady Knights in Group A of the Shakey’s V-League Season 10 First Conference at The Arena in San Juan today.

Guest player Rachel Ann Daquis and Fille Cainglet led the Lady Eagles with 13 points each including ten and nine hits respectively.

“We’re still waiting on who our opponent will be in the quarterfinals, what’s important for us right now is try to improve every game so that when the time comes we’ll be ready” said ADMU Head Coach Roger Gorayeb.

Ateneo dominated the game from the onset of the match accounting for a huge 42-24 advantage in the kills department

“Every game all we want to do is improve our game and gel together as a cohesive team” said the charismatic Daquis.

“I’m still adjusting with the team but so far every practice we have, we’ve been improving and we’re happy where we are so far” she added.

Ateneo improved their flawless record to a 3-0 win-loss card while Letran dropped to 0-2 in the Group B standings.
