SAN DIEGO (AP) — A brawl between the Dodgers and Padres left high-priced pitcher Zack Greinke with a broken left collarbone.
Greinke, who signed a $147 million, six-year contract with Los Angeles last winter, was injured in a fight with San Diego slugger Carlos Quentin.
Quentin charged the mound after being hit by a pitch from Greinke, the 2009 AL Cy Young Award winner. Both benches emptied and a scrum ensued around the mound.
It was not yet known how long Greinke will be sidelined.
