MANILA, Philippines - Robert Pactolerin fired a 66 to beat Mario Manubay by six and capture the third SPGAP (Seniors Professional Golfers Association of the Philippines) Chairman’s Cup crown at the Philippine Navy Golf Club recently.
Pactolerin carded a 69 in the first round then sizzled with a 66 to run away with the championship in the 36-hole event sponsored by Nakata Katsuyuki Maesono and TMS Kai Rest.
Manubay had 70-71 for a 141 while Noli Kempis finished third with a 143 after a 69 and 73. Fred Superal also matched Pactolerin’s opening 69 but fatlered with 75 to place fourth at 144.
Caloy Nival, meanwhile, ruled the super senior side with a 156 from a pair of 78s to foil Roger Retuerto and R. Boy Santuile.
