World rated jr netters vie in Mitsubishi tilt

MANILA, Philippines - World Juniors No. 2 and defending champion Nikola Milojevic of Serbia and No. 6 Borna Coric of Croatia banner a talent-laden field vying in the 24th Mitsubishi Lancer International Junior Tennis Championships which get going March 19 at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center.

No. 24 Luke Bambridge of Great Britain and No. 34 Lucas Miedler of Austria are also in the fold while No. 7 Ching-Wen Hsu of Taiwan, Ipek Soylu of Turkey, Serbian Nina Stojanovic and China’s Shilin Xu headline the cast in the distaff side of the annual ranking tournament featuring the world’s leading junior netters.

A total of 120 players will see action in the week-long event, sponsored by Mitsubishi Motors Phils. Corp. and sanctioned by the International Tennis Federation and the Philippine Tennis Federation, with Jurence Zosimo Mendoza leading the local challenge.

The event is sponsored by Accel, Gatorade, Hidden Spring and Century Park Hotel and held in cooperation with Tecnifibre as the official tennis ball. Admission is free.
