Baltasar captures Boysen Open title

MANILA, Philippines - Jonas Baltasar of Team Prima edged teammate Enzo Hernandez, 214-213, in the finals to capture the Architects Bowling Club Boysen Open Classic tournament major division Group I Masters final at E Lanes in Greenhills, San Juan City last Sunday.

Ramil Cisneros of ATBA placed third while Alex Ngoi of MTBA-MegaAlson and Benny Dytoc of PTBA finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in Group I Masters finals of the nine-day tournament sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Farah Oñasa of PTBA defeated George Ongkeko of TBAM by one to grab the Major division Group 2 crown while Buddy Segui of ABC-PBA, Brian Arriola of QCBA and Eric Ramirez of ATBA placed third, fourth and fifth, respectively.

Ngoi scored 1941 to cop the Minor division Open master title, beating Baltasar (1877) and Rodel Bagohin (1864) of QCBA-Linton finished second and third, respectively, while Ronald Bautista annexed the Classified Master crown with a 1779, defeating John Mendoza (1735) of PTBA and Hermie Ape (1730) of PTBA-Eurolux.

Krizzah Tabora of Team Prima took the All Ladies Master crown, beating Oñasa and Liza del Rosario of TBAM-Prima.

Eric Ramirez, meanwhile, rolled a perfect game 300.

The tournament, backed by Boysen Paints, Crown Pipes, DJT Const., BAE Glass & Aluminum, CRMA, ES Vidal Builders, AIDEA Architects, Philflex, Trecenians, Color Steel, Coach Furnitures, Moldex Pipes, Spurway, JEA Steel, Unitec Pipes, New Golden City, Tricomac Const., Emerald Pipes, Morning Sun, Multi-Folds, Procon Wismon, Eurolux, Fredcor RFK Ind., Greystone, Villarey and Wilcon Depot, resumes at 7 tonight with the holding of the singles event, also at E Lanes.
