Flexible Cup int’l table tennis tilt on

MANILA, Philippines - Filipino players get to play against seasoned opposition from five Asian nations in the sixth Flexible Cup International Table Tennis Championships which kicked off yesterday at the Harrison Plaza Garden Square in Manila.

Experienced paddlers from China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand will test the mettle of the locals in the two-day meet supported by Flexible Packaging Corp. headed by chairman Chan Cuan, a prominent table tennis enthusiast and patron.

Headlining the local challenge are the country’s top bet, Richard Gonzales, and UAAP men’s and women’s table tennis champions UST and De La Salle, respectively, in the competition organized by the Table Tennis Association for National Development (TATAND).
