MANILA, Philippines - Team HP took the women’s doubles Level D and men’s doubles B titles at the start of sixth Prima Pasta Badminton Championship over the weekend at the Powersmash badminton center on Pasong Tamo, Makati.
Team HP’s Judith Espanola and Ronalyn Pauyo teamed up impressively to beat Riza Estrada and Marisol Josef of Sports Hub Marikina, 21-9, 21-12, and win the women’s doubles Level D crown of the tournament organized by Team Prima chairman Alexander Lim.
Team HP’s Niel Nim and Buckz Verdejo beat Joel Estrada and Roel Inciong, 21-13 (ret.) to cop the men’s doubles B crown of the event supported by Boysen Paints, Morning Star Milling, Mabz Builders, ILO Construction, Monolith Construction, Pioneer Life, Promax, RSL Badminton Rackets and RFM Corp.
Other doubles champions were Merlyn Pascasio and Apol Romero (women’s level F); Danica Enriquez and Raymund Leigh (women’s level E); Paola Bernardo and Chanelle Lunod (women’s level C); and Diosan Abangan and Maxima Aquino (women’s level B).
