Karters gear up for Coca-Cola showdown

MANILA, Philippines - The country’s leading senior and junior karters gear up for a showdown as they vie in the Sorteo Grand Prix 2013 Coca-Cola KF2-KF3 Cup Series this weekend at the Carmona Racetrack in Cavite.

The event is held in cooperation with the Municipality of Carmona
which is celebrating the Sorteo Festival on Feb. 15-18.

Fern-C Racing’s Milo and Estefano Rivera dominated the series last year with the former winning the KF2 plum and the latter romping off with the KF3 crown.

This year’s staging, however, is expected to be close and keen with Estefano moving up to KF2 class to challenge Milo’s back-to-back title bid in the event staging of the event, sanctioned by the Automobile Association
Philippines and sponsored by Coca-Cola Philippines and Yokohama.

Spicing up the event is the participation of two talented Japanese drivers from the top Japanese factory team Kuwayama Racing – Yuta Fukushima and Matthew Molinaro.

Others in the roster are VJ Suba, CJ Tsui, Bobby Domingo, Archim Lagman, Cebuano Tonyo Carcel and Matthew Chan.

The hunt for the KF3 title will be a toss-up among Daniel Miranda of Cebuana-Lhuillier, Jaz Monzones of Formula-E Racing, Mary Allison
Julian of One Racing and the fast-rising Raymond Cudala of Fern-C
Racing.
