TRS bet guns for crucial wins for PTCC diadem

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Leo San Juan guns for crucial victories in the last three races with big hopes of keeping up with the racing excellence and championship tradition of Tuason Racing School today in the championship leg of the Philippine Touring Car Championships at the Batangas Racing Circuit.

San Juan faces a tough task of sweeping all the races to assure the Division 2 crown through the support of Nissan Commonwealth, The Sunny Motors Group, Ziebart, Hi-Quality Brands, Excellar, TitanWorks and TRS Racing Team partners OMP, Coke, Toptul, Elig Brake Pads and C!Magazine.

He leads the hunt for the Division 2 plum with 139 points aboard his trusty Nissan Sentra race car after nine rounds of this event organized by the Automobile Association Philippines but enjoys a precarious lead of only nine points against closest rival Jeff Borja who’s in second with 130.

And this means no room for lapses or mechanical problems for San Juan whose only option is to pull off a sweep or at least finish ahead of Borja in all three races.

“This is the closest chance I had for the title, and I’ll do my best to bring this career milestone to fruition with the support of my sponsors, crew and mechanics,” said San Juan, trained under the TRS Race Career Management Program, a brainchild of TRS founder and president JP Tuason.

Through the TRSCMP, San Juan has gained the technical skills, strategy and racing judgment to be on top of this series.
