Tsonga to open against Weintraub in Davis Cup
ROUEN, France (AP) — Eighth-ranked Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France will face Amir Weintraub of Italy when their Davis Cup World Group contest starts on Friday.
Weintraub knows what to expect against the former Australian Open runner-up in the first-round match, saying "of course, I'm a big, big underdog and I've never played a guy who is top 10 in the world."
Richard Gasquet, who is ranked 10th, then follows up against Dudi Sela.
Matches will be played on indoor hard courts at the Kindarena in Rouen. France has won all three previous meetings with Israel.
Saturday's doubles pits Julien Bennetau and Michael Llodra against Jonathan Erlich and Sela, while the reverse singles on Sunday sees Tsonga take on Sela and Gasquet face Weintraub.
The winner faces either Germany or Argentina in the quarterfinals.
