MANILA, Philippines - Liceo de Cagayan University bagged 15 golds and three silvers to capture the overall championship in the Private Schools Athletics Association Northern Mindanao meet in Cagayan de Oro recently.
The LDCU bets dominated majority of the 19 sports and events which were participated in by 13 private colleges and universities from Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental, Bukidnon, Lanao del Norte, Camiguin, Ginoog City and Cagayan de Oro City, according to PRISAA Region 10 president Mariano Lerin.
Pilgrim Christian College copped three golds and three silvers, Misamis University had one gold, one silver output, Ginoog City College pocketed six silvers and one bronze and Christ the King College had one silver and one bronze.
Mountain View College won silver, San Agustin Insitutute of Technology had one silver and one bronze, San Isidro College took two silvers and one bronze, St. Peter’s College had four bronzes, Ginoog Christian College had one bronze. Others which competed were Iligan Medical Center College, North Central Mindanao Colleges and Fatima College of Camiguin.
The event’s top finishers will represent Region 10 in the PRISAA National Collegiate Games slated Feb. 10-16 in Dagupan City and Lingayen, Pangasinan.
