4 share NCA world derby honors

MANILA, Philippines - Tommy Chua and Osang dela Cruz’s entries scored seven points apiece to emerge co-champions with two others in the National Cockers Allican World Championship Derby at the Ynares Sports Center in Pasig City recently.

Rep. Claude Bautista and Allan Chan also produced seven points each from their top-notch entries to share top honors in the three-day event. Gerry Fevidal’s entries scored 6.5 points for solo fifth.

Coming up with three points each were Rep. Patrick Antonio, RVP and Phil Sy, Ernie Austria, Jun Mendoza and Councilor Eusebio, Gov. Vic Yap, and Ricky Valencia, Art Alonte, and Tata Pete.

Meanwhile, Chua and Dela Cruz, along with Arnold Mendoza and Isaac Newton, are hosting the NCA derby today, also at the Ynares Arena.

Expected to participate in the event are Bong Pineda, Tady Palma, Rene Medrano, Luding Boongaling, Habagat, Boy Martinez, Agcaoili Brothers, Dr. Ayong Lorenzo, Manny Berbano, Ricky Castillo, Vince Barabara, Boss Tose, JD Farm, Jayson Kid, Henry Tan, Engr. Tuaño, Fred Ovit, Kris Mattingly, Elmer David, Dory Du, Mayor Alonte, Maymay and Warren, and Mayor Jun Diamante.
