PRISAA Region II meet tomorrow

TUGUEGARAO, Philippines – The Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) Region II will open its regional games tomorrow at the University of Cagayan Valley (UCV) Balzain Campus here, according to PRISAA Region II and UCV president Dr. Victor Perez.

PRISAA national chairman Dr. Emmanuel Angeles and CHED regional director Dr. Evelyn Pascua will be the guest speakers at the opening ceremonies.

The Oath of Amateurism will be led by PRISAA national gold medalist Jeovanni Colega while CHED – 02 Chief Education Specialist Dr. Antonio Pascual will declare the formal opening of the games.

The three-day regional meet features 13 sports, including basketball, volleyball, sepak takraw, softball, football, baseball, chess, athletics, taekwondo, karate-do, badminton, table and lawn tennis. The cultural competitions, meanwhile, include the vocal solo and dance sports categories.

Winners in this regional meet will represent Region II in the PRISAA National Collegiate Games slated Feb. 10-16, 2013 in Dagupan City and Lingayen, Pangasinan.
