Young beauty karter to watch next year

MANILA, Philippines - Young  beauty Julia delos Angeles, the newest discovery of Tuason Racing School, is set to make her mark next year following her impressive maiden stint recently in the 2012 Coca-Cola Formula Cadet Cup and Mini-ROK Cup at the Carmona Racetrack.

Delos Angeles, a product of this year’s Champions of the Future Series, displayed big potentials when she captured the Formula Cadet Novice Overall second runner-up honors on her first actual competitive race with TRS-Castrol Racing Team powered by Castrol, Bridgestone, Standard Insurance, C! Magazine, OMP, Coke Zero, Oakley, Aguila and Toptul.

Her training under the Tuason Racing School Race Career Management Program (TRS-RCMP), a brainchild of TRS founder and president JP Tuason, equipped her with the competitive skills and confidence to achieve the amazing feat that caught the attention of race officials, fellow karters and spectators in the two-day affair.

She finished fourth in Race 2 but bounced back with big improvements in the championship race where she displayed consistent driving and focus to clinch third place and eventually seal the Formula Cadet Novice overall second runner-up honors.

And from a 55.887 seconds on her first qualifying time trials, her laptimes constantly improved every race and brought it up to her personal best of 54.190 in the Pre-Finals of the championship race.

Competing in karting races is a complete turnaround from her interest in sophisticated classical arts particularly ballet and playing violin.  This very well speaks of her versatility to go extremes that could be her best asset as she goes full-time racing in the coming 2013 season.

“Julia reminds us of Michele Bumgarner when she started with us and who knows, she might just follow Michele’s track record and career path.  And seeing her natural talent in racing, we wouldn’t be surprised if she’ll be a karting champ in the future,” said Tuason.

The TRS-RCMP was envisioned by Tuason to help young racers achieve a successful career path in motorsports and develop them into world caliber racing champions by providing them with available programs and racing avenues abroad through its partnerships in Asia, US and Europe.
