Azkals kiss finals hopes goodbye, fall to Lions 1-nil

MANILA, Philippines – The Philippines Azkals’ AFF Suzuki Cup campaign has come to an end after yielding to the Singapore Lions, 1-nil, in their semifinals match at the Jalan Besar Stadium tonight.

Singapore’s lone goal came at the 19th minute courtesy of a free kick by Khairul Amri.

The Filipino booters tried to nail the pivotal away goal but failed owing to the home team’s tough defense.
