FEU booters blank Lady Tigers

MANILA, Philippines - Far Eastern University routed University of Santo Tomas, 3-0, to seize the solo lead in the UAAP women’s football Season 75 at the Ocampo field inside Ateneo campus last Thursday.

Mara Sabanal scored on the sixth minute while Jessa Sumagpao made it 2-0 for FEU on the 43rd minute before Alesa Dolino capped the romp on the 64th minute.

FEU thus improved to four points, counting its draw in the opener against La Salle.

In the other women’s match, La Salle and University of the Philippines fought to a score-less draw.

 Meanwhile, host Ateneo (1-0-1 win-loss-draw for 4 points) shoots for its second win as it clashes with De La Salle University (1-1-0 for 3 points) at 3 p.m. tomorrow at the Erenchun field.

Reigning champion UP (1-0-0 for 3 points) faces FEU (1-0-0 for 3 points) in the first game at 9 a.m., while UST (1-1-0 for 3 points) collides against University of the East (0-1-1 for 1 point) in the second game at 1 p.m.
