MANILA, Philippines - De La Salle University-Dasmariñas leaned on its run-and-gun game to blast Philippine School of Business Administration, 71-53, and notch its second straight victory in the 20th National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) men’s basketball tournament at the Rizal Technological University gym yesterday.

Clifford Castro shot 23 points while Kiboy Torres chipped in nine markers, including two charities early in the fourth that gave the Patriots their biggest lead at 52-27.

The Patriots, who also stopped the Emilio Aguinaldo College-Cavite Vanguards, 77-68, last Wednesday, thus seized the lead in the early going of the tournament backed by Mikasa and Molten Balls.

Meanwhile, Dan Reverente banged in 16 points for the defending champion PMMS Mariners, who walloped the RTU Blue Thunder, 84-67, to join the Patriots in the lead.

The Blue Thunder also beat the PATTS College of Aeronautics Sea Horses, 87-75, in a game where Jopet Quiro topscored for RTU with 17 points.
