Bullpups eye 3rd win in MYBall

MANILA, Philippines - National University resumes its campaign in the Energen Mini-Youth Ball Metro Invitationals today as it clashes with Don Bosco Technical College at the Blue Eagle gym in Ateneo in Quezon City.

The Bullpups shoot for their third triumph against the Junior Greywolves at 1 p.m. after Notre Dame of Greater Manila and Don Bosco Technical Institute tangle at 9:20 a.m. in the Contender division (12-14 age group).

Both Notre Dame and DBTI also meet in the lone Mini division (9-11 age group) at 10:50 a.m.

Unbeaten La Salle Green Hills shows the way with six wins in the Contender division followed by Lourdes School Mandaluyong (3-1), Ateneo-A (3-3), NU (2-2), Ateneo-B (2-2), DBTC (0-1), Notre Dame (0-3) and DBTI (0-4).

The Junior Archers, on the other hand, pace the Mini category with a 5-0 slate followed by Xavier School (5-1), Ateneo-A (4-2) and Ateneo-B (3-2). Rounding up the field are Notre Dame (1-3), DBTI (1-3), Lourdes (0-4) and DBTC (0-4).

Energen, which backed the Philippine Youth Team the past years, aims to continue promoting youth sports through the league along with TaosPuso Foundation, TriDharma Marketing Corp. and MYBall Inc.

DBTC and Notre Dame face off again at 9:20 a.m. tomorrow in the Contender side as Xavier tries to sustain its hot start also against Notre Dame in the Mini games at 10:50 a.m., also at the Blue Eagle gym.
