Southwoods Seniors birthday bash up

MANILA, Philippines - The Manila Southwoods Seniors Trimester Birthday Bash and pre-Christmas golf tournament unwraps Dec. 4 with Butch Brodett gunning for back-to-back championship at the Masters Course in Carmona, Cavite.

Brodett fired a net 65 from a gross 76 to capture the Class A crown over Brian Park, who had a gross 81 for a net 70 with the duo expected to lead the chase again in the 18-hole tournament organized by the Manila Southwoods Seniors Chapter headed by president Jose Cedo and vice president/tournament chairman Paco Gonzalez.

Registration begins at 6:30 a.m. with the shotgun start tee-off set at 8 a.m.

Brand-new golf sets, Mizuno Sports Corp. (Mizuno E-10), and Wilson, are also up for grabs as hole-in-one prizes in the event chiefly backed by Anako Phils. Corp., Asia Pacific Golf Corp. (APGC), CH Asia World of Electric, Inc., Electro Mechanical Products, Inc. (EMPI), Red Eagle Lending Investors, Inc. (RELI), Romago, Inc., Rudy Project Phils., Tocoms Phils., Warbird Security Agency, Mulson’s Trading Corp., One Pharma Co., Inc. Whealth, Silk Skin Beauty Care Corp., Golden Oats Corp., Superior Maintenance Services Inc. Azcor Lighting Systems, Inc and YYD System Interiors, Inc.

Keen competition is also seen in the other categories of the member-guest tournament for 55-years-old-and-above  with Rolando Sacramento seeking a repeat of his close victory in Class B. He shot a net 69 from a gross 88 and nipped Jojo Lee, who had a gross 93, in the countback.

Ed Pozon also sets out for a defense of the Class C crown after carding a net 67 from a gross 93 to beat Parouk Hussin, who had a gross 98 for a gross 73.
