MANILA, Philippines -- The San Beda Red Cubs proved its supemacy in the juniors division after dismantling a hapless Far Eastern University Baby Tamaraws with a 90-59 victory at the benefit game for Ilog Pasig in the Philippine Collegiate Champions League at the Fil-Oil Flying V Arena in San Juan City today.
The NCAA juniors division champions used a flawless second quarter effort to break the game wide open against their UAAP counterpart outscoring them 30-15 and never looked back.
Javee Mocon had a brilliant double-double performance finishing with 19 markers and 10 boards while Joshua Caracut and Ryan Gumtang added 14 and 11 points, respectively, for San Beda
The Red Cubs were dominant on all fronts owing to their advantage in the rebounds (46-34) and assists (21-7) departments against the Baby Tamaraws.
John Domingo led Baby Tams with 14 points while prospect Jeric Pingoy struggled from the field and only managed 11 points for his team.
After the game, both squads were awarded with appreciation medals and a winning trophy for the Red Cubs.
