Seniors golf unfolds Dec. 4-5 at Villamor

MANILA, Philippines - The Senior Professional Golfers’ Association of the Phl will hold the Swing with the Masters Challenge 2012 next week with the country’s leading golfing seniors and guests from various sectors seeing action at the Villamor Golf Club.

In a recent meeting, the SPGAP said the event has been set Dec. 4-5 with a pro-am tournament on Dec. 3 to usher in the 36-hole seniors event featuring the likes of former Philippine Open champions Robert Pactolerin and Mario Manubay.

Others expected to participate are Juanito Pagunsan and Oscar Colminas.

In the pro-am, a pro can have multiple amateur partners, according to the organizing SPGAP.

Registration is ongoing through Boy Santuile with fee pegged at P1,000 for all seniors.

Backing the staging of the event are Golf Plan Insurance Corp., Subaru, Wow Videoke, Antonio Florida, Rep. Arnulfo Go and Rep. Pedro Unabia, according to SPGAP president Demi Saclot.

Other supporters of the tournament are Sen. Tito Sotto and Will Time Big Time.
