Bayron 10 shots adrift despite 66

MANILA, Philippines - Asian Development Tour Order of Merit frontrunner Jay Bayron fired a six-under 66 but remained 10 shots off Lu Chien-soon in the third round of the Yeangder ADT in Taiwan yesterday.

Bayron, who is set to clinch the OOM title for an Asian Tour card next year, turned in 71 and 70 in the first two rounds at the National Garden Country Club then came through with a 66 that propelled him to joint seventh with Chiang chien-chih at 207.

But he stood way behind Lu, who had a 197 after a 68, although Bayron moved closer to nailing the OOM crown with two leg wins on the ADT this year.

Lu had a five-shot lead over Lin Wen-tang, who had a 202 after a 66.

Michael Bibat shot a 67 for joint ninth at 208 while Jhonnel Ababa had a 69 for a 210.
