Baby Tams arrange title tiff vs Jr Archers

MANILA, Philippines - Far Eastern University-FERN swept past Ateneo, 5-0, while La Salle-Zobel trounced San Beda, 3-1, to arrange a showdown for the juniors crown in the 2012 IPPCA Football Pre-Season Cup at the Nuvali Field in Sta. Rosa, Laguna last weekend.

Resty Monterona scored on the 23rd minute and the Baby Tams went on to dominate the Baby Eagles while the Junior Archers leaned on Lance Montenegro, Marco Aguilar and Mikel Manique to turn back the Red Cubs in the other semis duel.

FEU and La Salle dispute the title at 1 p.m. on Sunday to be followed by the championship match between FEU and De La Salle-Flying V at 3 p.m. at the University of the Philippines Football Field in Diliman, Quezon City.

The Green Archers nipped the UST-MetroOil Growling Tigers,  2-1, while the Tamaraws edged the Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals, 4-3, via the penalty shootout, also last weekend.
