Ateneo completes 3-peat in ICTSI jungolf

MANILA, Philippines - The Ateneo Midgets 2 team completed a rare 3-peat in the JGFP ICTSI Inter-School Jungolf tournament at the Ayala Greenfields Golf Course in Laguna recently.

Riggs Illescas led the Ateneo team with a total of 39 points based on the Molave Points system. Callaway Junior World veteran Maio Castaneda contributed with a birdie-eagle spiked performance with 33 points putting the Ateneo Blue Eaglets unreachable in the final leg of the team competition.

Team members Miles Conding, with strong performances in the earlier rounds, contributed 29 points and Matthew Mateo completed the four-man team of the Katipunan based players.

Ateneo dominated throughout the five rounds against teams from La Salle Greenhills (2nd Place), Xavier School (3rd Place), and La Salle Zobel. Illescas emerged as the champion in the individual division.
