Pacquiao takes break, hands out turkeys to fans

MANILA, Philippines – Manny Pacquiao took a break from training on Sunday (Monday in Manila) to distribute turkeys and pumpkin pies to eager fans in Los Angeles for the upcoming Thanksgiving.

Photos released by his promoter Top Rank Inc. showed the Filipino icon handing out the goodies to delighted fans at the Westside Shepherd of the Hills Church in Los Angeles.

Throngs of fans mobbed Pacquiao’s van as he gave away the turkeys and pumpkin pies. Many clicked away with their cameras and shook hands with the boxing superstar.

Pacquiao faces archrival Juan Manuel Marquez on Dec. 8 (Dec. 9 in Manila) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

He is no stranger to holding side activities in the middle of training for a fight. Aside from fan interactions, Pacquiao also guests in some sporting events and talk shows in the US.
