Metro Poker festival starts at Metrowalk

MANILA, Philippines - All roads lead to the Metro Card Club starting today as poker players from all over the country – and from its neighbors – gather to vie for a P5-million guaranteed pot in the main event of the Metro Poker Festival  at the biggest card room in Asia located at the Metrowalk Complex in Ortigas, Pasig City.

To participate and have a shot at an estimated P1.5-million top prize, a player can either buy-in for P10,000 or win a seat by joining a satellite, which has been going on every day since September, for as low as P500.

The tournament will run in a freezeout format, but players can choose when to start their quest from three starting days – Day 1A today, Day 1B on Friday and Day 1C on Saturday. Survivors from these three starting flights will converge for Day 2 on Sunday.  Day 3 will be on Monday, while the Final Table and crowning of champion will take place on Tuesday.

And apart from the main event, Metro has also lined up a series of side events for this weeklong festival including the ladies tournament, Big Bounty, Deepstack, and the P44K buy-in High Rollers tourney.
