MANILA, Philippines - The Don Bosco Mandaluyong high school alumni are putting up the “Hole-in-Juan” charity golf tournament set Jan. 16, 2013 at the Orchard Golf and Country Club in Dasmariñas, Cavite to raise funds for the school’s various socio-civic projects.
“We hope to organize this big tournament to help Don Bosco in funding its projects, particularly in its sports programs,” said Shakey’s president and chief operating officer Vic Gregorio, a member of DB-Mandaluyong’s high school batch of 1982, in yesterday’s PSA forum at Shakey’s Malate.
“We have outstanding high school alumni who are supporting this project, but they are often identified by the colleges they graduate from,” added Gregorio, who cited Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Gov. Amando Tetangco and Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario among the school’s prominent graduates.
Gregorio was joined in the session sponsored by Smart, PAGCOR and Shakey’s by fellow alumni Arnel Dimalanta, Jun Tobias and Oggi Enriquez, who will organize the one-day golfest for a cause offering a Mitsubishi Mirage for the first to score a hole-in-one among its prizes.
Dimalanta said the tournament is open to all graduates of Don Bosco Mandaluyong, now known as the Don Bosco Technical Colleges, and their friends, who can inquire at the DBTC alumni office at tel. Nos. 542-1832, 531-6222 and 531-8081 local 1280.
