MANILA, Philippines - A round-trip ticket to the US and a brand-new Club Car golf cart have been added as hole-in-one prizes in the seventh Highlands Ladies Cup which gets under way Nov. 16 at Tagaytay Midlands Golf Course in Tagaytay.
The latest prizes add up to the two earlier bounties put up by the organizing Tagaytay Highlands Ladies Chapter for aces in the 18-hole tournament backed by Mercedes-Benz as Diamond sponsor with Security Bank, W Group Inc., Pacific Online and San Miguel Corp. as Platinum backers and Pilipinas Shell as Gold sponsor.
To make it more interesting, the THLC said the first hole-in-one at No. 5 will win a Club Car golf cart while the second to hit the ace on the same hole will go home with a brand-new Piaggo Ape, a 3-wheel mini commercial vehicle from Auto Hub.
The US trip, courtesy of Delta Air Lines, will be staked at No. 12 while the three-day/four-night Royal Caribbean cruise on board the Legend of the Seas will be up for grabs on No. 17.
Felix Ang, president of CATS Motors, Willie Ocier, vice-chairman of Belle Corp., Inquirer CEO Marixi Prieto and THLC skipper Sandy Prieto-Romualdez will hit the ceremonial drives to kick off the event to be played under the System 36 format.
The shotgun start is set at 8 a.m.
