MANILA, Philippines - The second DELeague Open Invitational Basketball Cup resumes tonight with a pair of explosive match-ups, including the Hobe Bihon-Power Networks clash, at the Marikina Sports Park gym, Marikina City.

The fancied Hobe Bihon squad and the Power Networks side tangle at 7 p.m. before Globe Telecoms and Jekasa Sportswear collide in the 8:30 p.m. main game.

Meanwhile, ACS Team faces During’s BBQ at 7 p.m. tomorrow with Hog’s Breath Café and DSM Construction squaring off in the other game at 8:30 p.m.

Tickets are pegged at P10 each.

In last Tuesday’s game, defending champion Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall leaned on ex-pro Warren Ybañez as it subdued Steel Trust Corp., 96-92.

Ybanez finished with 18 points and four assists, including a drop pass to Celedon Camaso that paved way for a crucial three-point play as Sta. Lucia grabbed a 93-90 lead with 50 seconds remaining in the contest.

Chester Toloma countered with a baseline drive to pull Steel Trust within one but last year’s MVP Francis Adriano and Ybanez scored a charity each to secure the victory for Sta. Lucia.

Camaso and Adriano added 17 points each for Sta. Lucia while Tolomia contributed 28 points and John Hayes chipped in 18 markers for Steel Trust.

Jackson Corpuz fired 24 points as PL iTrade held off Arquitectos Construction, 88-85, in the other game. Mark Jeffries led Arquitectos with 16 points.
