In-form Kiamco advances

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Streaking Warren Kiamco downed Mike Davis of the US, 9-6, to reach the semifinals of the first Johnny Archer Classic 10-Ball Championship in Georgia Sunday.

The victory came on the heels of Kiamco’s 9-6 romp over Jeffrey Helie. He earlier thumped James Giorella, 9-2, Mark Ritter, 9-6, and Shawn Putnam, 9-5, to underscore his solid form.

The Filipino ace will go up against American Jonathan Pinegar for a berth in the finals of the event which stakes $4,625 to the winner.

Pinegar booted out compatriot Shannon Daulton, 9-7, in their quarterfinal clash.

Kiamco scored back-to-back title romps in the Houston Open in Texas and the Predator Tour in New York recently.
