Ateaneo-A SBP team vies in Thailand caging

MANILA, Philippines - A team composed mainly of the Ateneo SBP team that placed second in the recently concluded SBP 2012 tournament will represent the Phl-Best Center in the BUU 12-Under International Invitational Tournament slated Oct. 26-28 in Thailand.

Homegrown Ateneans Carlo Lopa, Rap Escalona, Jed Ramos, Xavier Jorvina, Martin Baligod, James Gotladera, Luis Campos, Emilio Daez and Kean Herrera, son of multi-titled coach Mark Herrera, from the SBP 2012 team, will be joined by brothers Jecko and Gabe Laud, Jake Ramos, Joaquin Jorvina and Elian Singson.

“It’s a great experience for the kids competing in international leagues like this and we hope the kids will bring home the bacon.” said James Jayson Jorvina, head of the parents delegation supported by Didi lopa, Bon Ramos and Jonathan Baligod 

The event was organized by Dr. Pratoom Moungmee of the Burapha University Bungsaen Thailand in coordination with coach Nick Jorge, Milo Best Center’s founder and chairman.

The Phl-Best Center team will be competing with varsity teams from Assumption Sriracha School, Preechanusart School and Darasampoot School in Thailand.
