Nuvali 'League of Heroes' lures youth bets

MANILA, Philippines -  The Nuvali Cup will be held this weekend with over 3,000 young athletes from different schools and various sports clubs in Metro Manila and the Calabarzon expected to see action at The Fields in Nuvali, Laguna.

Dubbed the “League of Heroes,” the event promotes healthy active living through outdoor sports and encourages sports excellence among the youth.

The two-day event will start at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

Athletes from Ateneo, Don Bosco, La Salle Greenhills, De La Salle-Zobel, De La Salle-Canlubang and De La Salle-Lipa head the cast, whch includes those from Xavier School, International School, Paref Southridge, Brent International School, Japanese International School, Colegio San Agustin-Makati, Colegio San Agustin-Laguna, Assumption College, Miriam College, Claret School, Philippine Science and Canossa Academy.

Also tipped to compete are sports clubs like the Alabang Tigers and Lipa Barakitos.

Some Azkals and UFC members will also clash in a special fun showdown.
