Chiefs down Altas, stretch run to four

MANILA, Philippines - Arellano U rolled past University of Perpetual Help, 63-51, to stretch its win run to four in the 10th Fr. Martin Division 2 Cup basketball tournament at the Trinity University of Asia gym in QC yesterday.

Keith Agovida scored 12 points for the Chiefs, who outplayed the Altas in the second half to keep their unbeaten run in Group B.

Mapua, meanwhile, drew 34 points from CJ Isit and Julian Sergeant as it edged Emilio Aguinaldo College, 63-60, to improve to 2-1 in Group A.

In the junior division, Jerby Alacre sizzled with 23 points as Letran blasted Jose Rizal University, 63-49, to annex its second straight win in Group A.

Sayed Ascano shot 15 points while Jonas Tibayan added 12 for Chiang Kai Shek-B, which waylaid EAC-ICA, 73-35.
