MANILA, Philippines - Registration for the second leg of the MVP Sports Foundation-Philippine Badminton Ranking System (PBaRS) is ongoing with the ranking event, featuring the country’s leading players and emerging stars, slated Oct. 27-31 at Powersmash and Makati Coliseum.
Toby Gadi and Bianca Carlos, winners of the premier Open singles crowns in the circuit’s kickoff leg in Cebu last May, are expected to banner the field again along with two-division singles champion (U-19 and U-15) Mark Alcala and U-15 girls singles titlist Eleanor Inlayo.
Carlos, of Golden Shuttle Foundation, also took the U-19 girls singles diadem.
But a host of upcoming and collegiate stars, including Joper Escueta, Peter Gabriel Magnaye. Ronel Estanislao, Paul Vivas, Dia Magno, Jen Cayetano, Kim Mayono, are out to foil their bid in various divisions of the tournament organized by the Philippine Badminton Association, headed by Vice President Jejomar Binay, chair Manny V. Pangilinan and sec-gen Rep. Albee Benitez
