MANILA, Philippines - The National Cockers Alliance kicks off its six-stag derby circuit on Sept. 11 with a stellar field expected to vie for top honors at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
Gov. Ito Ynares, Rene Medina, Ernesto Austria, Hessie Mallillin, the Firely Group, Ralph Daigo and Bebot Uy will host the upcoming event that will feature the country’s leading cockers and breeders.
Entries must have a minimum weight of 1.7 kgs and a maximum weight of 2.2 kgs with those inspected and banded by the NGBA, GF, MIGBA, SGBA, BBC, PAGBA, RGBA, CVBA, and LGBA to be allowed to fight.
Meanwhile, the next derby will be held Sept. 18 to be hosted by Manny and Arman Santos, Eric dela Rosa, Butch Olano and JR Tolentino while Mayor Elan Nagano, Tommy Chua, Osang dela Cruz, Boyet Joson, the Batangas Group, Jun Diamante and Ray Tambis will stage the third event on Sept. 25.
The next derby will be on Oct. 2 to be hosted by Gerry Ramos, Patrick Antonio, Efren Canlas, and Jimafer while Atong Ang, Mario Villamor, Eugene Martin, Luding Boongaling and Claude Bautista will host the next on Oct. 9.
The final event on Oct. 16 will be hosted by Boy Valenzuela, Danny and Joel Teves, Newton Isaac, Arnold Mendoza, Gov. Vic Yap and Bebot Roxas.
