Que way behind with closing 73

MANILA, Philippines -  Angelo Que failed to gain headway and limped with a two-over 73, finishing way down in joint 71st with four others in the Omega European Masters won by Scot Richie Ramsay at Crans-sur-Sierre in Switzerland late Sunday.

Que, who matched par 71 in the first two rounds, wound up with a four-over 287 and won $4,096. He finished 20 shots off Ramsay, who closed out with a 66 to post a runaway four-stroke romp at 267 worth $436,800.

Australian Marcus Fraser, Swede Fredrik Hed and Danny Willett of England all holed out with 66s and ended up tied for third at 271 while Paul Lawrie, also of Scotland, made a 70 and shared sixth place with two others at 272.

Que, meanwhile, heads a nine-man Phl team in the Selangor Masters firing off tomorrow in Shah Alam, Malaysia. The other Pinoy bets are Jay Bayron, Tony Lascuna, Elmer Salvador, Artemio Murakami, Jhonnel Ababa, Michael Bibat, Mars Pucay and Miguel Tabuena.
