Que falls to joint 71st in 'Omega'

- The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines -  Angelo Que wavered at the backside and hobbled with a one-over 72 to drop to joint 71st in a surviving field of 80 in the third round of the Omega European Masters now paced by Scot Richie Ramsay at Crans-sur-Sierre in Switzerland late Saturday.

Que, who made a pair of even par 71s to make it to the weekend play, fought back from a double-bogey mishap on No. 2 with three birdies in the next five holes. He made the turn at one-under 35 but fumbled with two bogeys and a double bogey against two birdies for that 72.

With a 214 aggregate, Que lay 13 shots off Ramsay, who stunned the field with a fiery 64 for a 201, one stroke ahead of Englishman Danny Willett, who fired a 68, and compatriot Paul Lawrie, who shot a 67, for 202s.

Dropping off the lead was Frenchman Julien Quesne, who settled for a 70 and a 203.

Over in Japan, reigning Asian Tour No. 1 Juvic Pagunsan faltered with a closing 75 as he wound up joint 32nd at 288, 12 shots behind winner Kyung Tae Kim. Kim made a 68 for a 276, one shot up on Yuta Ikeda, who had a 277 after 67, in the Fujisankei Classic at the Fujizakura Country Club in Yamanashi yesterday.
