LCC, TIP rout rivals in ISAA caging

MANILA, Philippines -  La Consolacion College-Manila defeated Manila Tytana Colleges, 73-65, to remain unbeaten in the fourth Interscholastic Athletic Association basketball tournament at the TIP gym in Manila over the weekend.

Jimmy Brown scored 18 points while Ryan Sagrada and Kerr Bailey Bangeles hit 14 markers each as the Blue Royals nailed their second straight victory.

Also winning in the cagefest backed by Molten and Mikasa of Sonia Trading, Globe and Abot Kaya Pinoy are defending champion TIP and newcomer Philippine Merchant Marine School.

Sean Paulo scored 18 points and former PBA D-League cager Jemuel Namocatcat added 15 points as TIP trounced Feati University, 80-65. The Engineers are in solo third at 2-1.

PMMS routed 83-52 St. Dominic College of Asia for a 3-0 card. Sany Trinidad made 21 points and Elmar Moradas chipped in 10 markers for the Las Piñas-based Mariners.
