MANILA, Philippines - La Salle-Greenhills A and Don Bosco Technical Institute-Makati’s triumphant run in the Small Basketeers Philippines continued unabated while host Xavier School remained unscathed in the Passerelle as the elimination round of the Milo-sponsored and Best Center-organized twin tournaments near their end last weekend.
LSGH-A (3 wins, no loss) drubbed Lourdes School of Mandaluyong (2-2), 52-35; while DBTI-Makati (3-0) routed La Salle-Zobel B (0-3), 65-24, to remain tied on top of SBP-A and near their spots in the semis.
Xavier School (3-1) remained on the heels of idle Ateneo A (3-0) in Group B following its 58-30 scuttling of San Beda-Alabang (1-2).
Notre Dame Greater Manila marched to its fourth straight win in as many games at the expense of Ateneo-B (1-3), 51-49, in Group C.
The Passerelle was a Xavier (3-0) show as the host school blasted Ateneo, 64-50, to lead Group A winners LSGH-A (2-1) over Marist (2-1), 51-30; and DBTI (1-2) over School of St. Anthony (0-3), 41-38.
Group B saw San Beda-A (3-0) over DLS-Zobel B (1-2), 78-22; and Kids World Christian Academy (0-3) and Raises Montessori (0-3) being assessed with a double default.
Group C had Chiang Kai Shek (4-0) over San Beda-Alabang (1-3), 83-49; Paref-Southridge (2-2) over Grace Christian College (1-3), 35-24; and LSGH-A (3-1) over St. Mary’s (1-3), 109-50.
Notre Dame (3-0) led Group D winners via a 78-49 thumping of St. Paul-Makati (0-3); then it was University of Santo Tomas (3-0) over San Beda-B (1-2), 60-58; and Claret (2-1) over Xavier-B (0-3), 43-32.
