Parañaque youth chess tomorrow

MANILA, Philippines - The Parañaque Chess Association will hold the third edition of the elementary and high school chess tournament tomorrow with another banner field expected to compete at the Perez Bldg., Better Living cor. Australia St., Doña Soledad in Parañaque City.

The event, a seven-round Swiss system tournament, is open to player-students with rating not higher than 1900 based on the NCFP standard rating last April. Games start at 9 a.m.

Registration is ongoing with fee pegged at P150. Cash prizes and trophies will be up for grabs in the one-day tournament held to give the chess-playing youths in the city a venue where they could hone their talent and skills.
