The 33-year-old Muñoz has admitted that he was bullied twice, one resulting in injury that prompted him to find ways to defend himself.
“I got into wrestling primarily for self-defense,” he said.
Since then, Muñoz has been successful in the UFC world, having ranked No. 5 in middleweight class by Sherdog.com.
He says he fights not only for himself, but for the Filipino pride. Known as the “Filipino Wrecking Machine”, the mixed martial artist is known as an aggressive ground-and-pound specialist, admired for his resilience inside the octagon.
