Slaughter, Salva go to NLEX

MANILA, Philippines - PBA D-League three-peat champs the NLEX Road Warriors have signed up Ateneo stars Greg Slaughter and Nico Salva in anticipation of the graduation of most of their stars to the pro league.

Slaughter and Salva will hook up with the Road Warriors in the next D-League season starting with the Foundation Cup in October.

Before joining the Road Warriors, the two players will try to help Ateneo in its bid for a fifth championship in the coming UAAP wars.

“The inclusion of Greg and Nico in our lineup fortifies our rotation at the 4 and 5 positions,” said NLEX coach Boyet Fernandez.

Slaughter and Salva were both part of the Philippine team that ruled the 26th Southeast Asian Games basketball competition in Indonesia last year.

They will be among NLEX new players, filling spots likely to be left by Cliff Hodge, Chris Ellis, Dave Marcelo, Garvo Lanete and others.
