MANILA, Philippines - Seaoil Kart Wreckers Raymond Cudala, Gabriel Cabrera, Dylan Arambulo and Draeco Abalajon posted one victory and two runner-up finishes to dominate the fourth leg of the Petron Karting Super Series at the Carmona Race Track in Cavite recently.
After a series of mishaps in the first three legs, Cudala finally struck gold with a sweep of the qualifying, pre-final and final races in the Formula SL Novice, beating all the Experts and more experienced rivals in the combined race.
Arambulo, Cabrera and Abalajon bucked engine problems and near fatal crashes throughout the race with Cabrera and Arambulo clinching runner-up honors in the Mini-ROK and the Formula Cadet Expert classes, respectively.
Despite the odds, all four Seaoil Kart Wreckers, backed by Seaoil, Fern-C Racing, Kart Plaza, Radiant Systems, Buenda Color Paint Center, K Designs and Point Zero Project, survived and held the top three spots in the overall standings of their respective classes.
Aside from the boys’ participation in next month’s national series fifth leg, Cabrera and Cudala are set to make their debut on the international stage in the 2012 Asian Karting Open Championships in Macau late this month.
