Patriots crash out

MANILA, Philippines - Imports Steve Thomas and Evan Brock imposed their will as Indonesia Warriors ripped the AirAsia Philippine Patriots, 72-51, to secure the first finals slot in the AirAsia ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) at the BritAma Arena in Jakarta yesterday.

Thomas fired 19 points and grabbed 15 rebounds while Brock drained in 16 markers and hauled down 11 boards, doing the most damage in the last three quarters where the Warriors tore the game apart en route to posting their second championship appearance in the league.

The Warriors, who won Game One on the road, 73-64, await the winner of the other best-of-three semis series between San Miguel Beerm and Westports Malaysia.
