Young karters show power at Kart Trak

-

MANILA, Philippines - Young ace karters Flynn Jackes and Francis Tanlu displayed consistency and determination as they ruled their respective classes recently in the second leg of the 2012 Castrol Champions of the Future Series at the Boomland Kart Track.

The Fil-Australian Jackes held his own in the last five laps to rule the Expert division while Tanlu stamped his class anew in the Novice division of this event powered by Castrol,  BMW, Automobile Association of the Philippines, AUTSRacing, Standard Insurance, PIKA, OMP,  Industria, Tuason Racing School, Kzone,  Lifeline Ambulance, Carmona Race Track, The Philippine STAR, Hastravel.com <http://hastravel.com/> , 99.5 RT, Timezone.

The race was tight at the start where kickoff leg champion AT Tuason appeared headed for a second straight big win, with Jackes, Wils Casequin and Xedrei Daquigan just close behind.

Casequin later tried to make a move on Tuason. However, the strategy backfired as he and Tuason figured in a slight collision that knocked them out of the lead pack.

Jackes held on to the lead from thereon to assure himself of the Expert crown while Daquigan immediately followed to claim the runner-up honors.

Tuason got back in the race and settled for third place while Casequin and Tyger Espino ended fourth and fifth, respectively.

As Tanlu controlled the tempo coast-to-coast in the Novice division, Robert Redpath made big strides clinching the runner-up place.
